I want to get into the habit of sketching often, so I put together a small sketching set: a couple pencils, a pen and some markers, and took it with me last night on my parents boat. We went out last night to watch the Canada Day fireworks, which were postponed from Wednesday. This is the sketch I did while waiting to leave the dock.
I took my iPad with me as well, on which I keep a copy of some of my favourite photos. The day before, I had gone through some of the photos and flagged the ones I thought would be fun to sketch. This one that I picked is a picture of me windsurfing in Florida a couple years ago.
Speaking of which, the wind seems to be picking up a bit, so I may get my first sail of the season in today!
