I've been wanting to do a time lapse of the Digby tides, but I don't get down to Digby that often anymore, and when I do I don't want to waste a whole day sitting around in one spot keeping an eye on my camera.
As it turns out, this last September I found myself at the Digby marina for a plein air painting workshop with Poppy Balser as part of the recent Annapolis Basin Watercolor Symposium workshops. When I got there in the morning the tide was low and I realized that this was my chance! I would be there most of the day painting and I could keep an eye on my camera at the same time. I set up my camera, tripod and automatic timer remote right away, and this is the result.
