Beach Earrings

I want to collect souvenirs of some of the places I've been.  I thought it would be nice to have a common theme between them.  For example, I thought I would try to collect earrings from each place I visited, since I just recently got my ears pierced by my friend Jason Francis who has set up his new piercing business in Kurt Silver's tattoo shop.

I was looking for something specific though, that would remind me of the places I've been.  For example, earrings shaped like sheep in Scotland, or little volcanoes in Iceland.  I didn't find anything I wanted though.  It turns out most earrings just look like earrings.








I did make these when I got home though.  I found some little pieces of lava on the beach while in Iceland, and made my own earrings.

I also made this necklace, to remind me of one of my favorite places in Nova Scotia, the beach across the road from my parents place where I grew up.
